| Personal background: I was
born in 1962 in East Grinstead, Sussex, the youngest of four. My brother and
two sisters were all born in Kenya where my Father was in the Colonial
Service. I grew up in
the West Country - attending King's College, Taunton and its junior school,
Pyrland Hall.
I've lived and worked in Wales since 1982.

Career history: When I left
school I worked on farms - briefly in the West Country and then for about 8
months in Mid Wales, near Builth Wells.
I left with a view to joining the Police and as a stop gap
worked for Exmoor National Parks, then at Butlin's in Minehead, before
spending a couple of years as a delivery roundsman on Exmoor.
When I returned to Wales in 1982 I drove coaches before
joining the Ambulance Service in 1985. I'm still in the Service, working now
in the largest and busiest Control Centre in Wales. |
